5000 BD workers find new jobs in Qatar

Five thousand Bangladeshi migrant workers in Qatar have joined in new workplaces changing their previous companies.
Bangladesh embassy in Doha helped them to change their previous workplaces. Sources said the said migrant Bangladeshi workers were fallen into deep crises after losing their jobs due to corona pandemic. The government of Qatar stopped to give permission to change job due the covid-19 situation.
The situation worsened constantly and the jobless migrants were edged to return home for the crisis.
In these situations, Bangladesh embassy came forward and helped them with successful negotiation
with the government officials of the oil rich Arab country.
Jasim Uddin, Bangladesh Ambassador in Doha sat in a meeting with concern Qatar minister for the negotiations.
As an output of the meeting, Qatar government agreed to give permission for the migrant workers to change workplaces.
The migrants expressed their utmost happiness for such cooperation of the embassy.
The Bangladesh embassy asked the migrants to call them for further help if needed any time.
Besides, several thousand of Bangladeshi migrants are now waiting in Bangladesh to return work.
The migrant workers become stranded in home while returning in last January-February to enjoy vacations.
After returning home the air communications between Bangladesh and Qatar as well other countries were stopped due to corona pandemic.
The migrants are now struggling to return to work in Qatar through different process.
The officials from the Ministry of the Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment said that they are trying sincerely to help the migrant workers through official channel negotiating with Qatar government.
They are optimistic about returning of all migrant workers in Qatar soon.
