The government on Wednesday decided to donate Taka 1.3 crore among 500 juba sangathons (youth organisations) this year for their contribution to the society.
The donation will be given from Juba Kalyan Tahabil (Youth Welfare Fund) on the basis of projects, an official release said.
A total of 436 youth organisations will get Taka 20,000 each while 64 district-based organisations Taka 25,000 each from the fund.
The decision was taken at a board meeting of the Ministry of Youths and Sports with its State Minister Dr Biren Shikder in the chair.
