Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Programme Executive of Bangladesh Television (BTV) Mahbuba Ferdous has created
a rare archive for BTV. She has made an example for the
television channel. If the channel shows interest and producer has cordialness, then any rare work can be done. It was really challenging to render a song-poem by country’s 50 noted and new generation’s singers and to make a music video of the song in front of the National Parliament Building. Mahbuba Ferdous has proved herself in this regard. On the occasion of 57th anniversary of BTV on December 25, Asif Iqbal wrote a song-poem titled Suborno 50. Title of the song
is: Bangladesh Bangladesh Je Porinoto Aj Suborno 50.
Syed Abdul Hadi, Shahin Samad, Rafiqul Alam, Linu Billah, Sujit Mustafa, Kaderi Kibria, Timir Nandi, Bulbul Islam, Abida Sultana, Kiran Chandra Roy, Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya, Fahmida Nabi, Samina Chowdhury, Yasmin Mushtari, Iffat Ara Nargis, Chandana Majumder, Aditi Mohsin, Sandipan, Bappa Majumder and new generation’s singers Homayra Bashir, Anima Roy, Alok Sen, Priyanka Gope, Haimanti, Konal, Yousuf, Apu, Mehrab, Sabbir, Nourin, Rashed, Ronti, Zhilik, Shawon Gaanwala, Nandita, Ritu Raj, Sumona, Oyshee, Moumita, Anisa, Ananya, Priyanka Biswas, Shilpy, Angkon, Tariq Mridha, Trisha, Zayan, among others, lent their voice for the song. Naqueeb Khan composed tune and music of the song while noted cultural
personality Asaduzzaman Noor recited poem with the song in the music video.
While sharing her feelings to do such a milestone work Mahbuba Ferdous said, “I always want to do such example based work. I always feel comfortable to do rare works.
I have made this poetical song rendered by 50 singers, which has an archive value for BTV. One day I would get a new responsibility but my work will remain an example. It is true that I have love and affection to music, so I get courage to do such type of work. Artistes were also very much cordial about my work. They co-operated me a lot in this project. This song will be aired from tomorrow on BTV.”
Veteran singer Syed Abdul Hadi shared his feelings by this way, “I really enjoyed being part of such a challenging work. I give thanks to
Mahbuba Ferdous to take such an initiative. It has become a nice work at all. I got the opportunity to meet many singers after a long time.”
