At least 50 people were injured in a clash between two factions of villagers over a land dispute at Champaknagar Bazar in Bijoynagar uapzila on Friday.
Quoting locals, Foyjul Azim, officer-in-charge of Bijoynagar Police Station, said Samsu Mia and Sanu Mia of Fatehpur village had been at loggerheads over the ownership of a piece of land.
Their supporters clashed at noon, leaving at least 50 people injured. The injured were taken to a local hospital.
On information, police went to the spot and brought the situation under control.
