A five- year baby was rushed to the hospital with marks of sexual assaults on Monday night. Alamgir Morol, 45 of Shikarpur village under Sharsha upazila in Jessore allegedly violated a five-year child at Ramchandrapur village under the same upazila at night, police, physician and locals said.
A relative of the victim told that Alamgir fled the scene while the baby was being violated by him at Ramchandrapur under Sharsha upazila as he rushed there in search of the baby at around 8pm on Monday. The baby was rushed to Sharsha Upazila Health Complex at around 12 am on the day and then shifted to Jessore General Hospital later.
Humaira Ashrafi Tanni, medical officer, Sharsha Upazila Health Complex told that the baby was admitted to the health complex with sexual assaults. ‘We got primary evidence, too. She was shifted to Jessore General Hospital for better treatment,’ she added.
Moshiur Rahman, officer in-charge, Sharsha police station told that police were sent to the spot soon after having the information. ‘No case was lodged immediately,’ he added.
