Five workers of a dyeing factory sustained burn injuries in an explosion at a factory at Dapa Idrakpur in Fatullah area early Tuesday. The injured were identified as Russel, Yeasin, Shahjalal, Sabbir and Nannu-all workers of Amin Dyeing Factory.
Sources said, the incident took place in the early hours on Tuesday when the gas pipe line of the factory went off with a big bang, leaving the workers injured.
Later they were rushed to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Golam Mostafa, sub-inspector of Fatullah Model Police Station confirmed the incident.
