At least 14 people, including five women, were detained on charge of anti-socials activities at a five-storey building in Old-Dhaka’s Siddique Bazar area on Friday.
The members of the law enforcing agencies did not disclose the name of the detainees as the allegation was being processed till filing the report in the evening.
Heroin and Yaba were also recovered from their possessions, police said.
Bangshal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shaheen Fakir said, “Police conducted around
three-hour long drive in a building and detained five women and nine men from there. Police had information that different flats of the building are used for anti-social activities, the police official said.
However, four cases, including rape, drug and human trafficking cases, have been filed in this connection, the OC said.
