Mobile court of the district administration of Chittagong sealed off one spurious ghee factory at Chaktai and fined a muddles company in their raid on Thursday .
Mobile court also seized 5 tons of such spurious ghee from their possession.
Acting on information, mobile court team led by Executive Magistrate AmirulKaiser conducted raid in Asadgonj and Rajakhali area of Chaktai on Thursday afternoon.
Sources said a unscrupulous traders gang installed their ghee manufacturing factory on second floor of Asadgonj Kulliya Miah Market and was manufacturing fake popular brand of Baghabari Ghee of Sirajgonj with raw materials like Aica gum, colour powder, dalda ghee and flavor assent .
None was found in the factory as such mobile court sealed off the factory and destroyed the spurious ghee through dumping in Rajakhali dumping station of CCC.
In this drive, Harron Food Products was convicted with penalty of Tk.20 thousand for manufacturing Rosebrand Nuddles in an unhygienic environment in Rajakhali . The muddles factory also warned not to commit such mistake in future.
