5 sued over Ctg judge’s death

A case was filed against five people in connection with the mysterious death of a Naogaon judge at Mollahpara in Halishahar in the city on Tuesday.
Mukul Mia, sub-inspector of Halishahar Police Station, filed the case with the police station on Wednesday afternoon. The accused are-the judge’s 2nd wife Sanjida Ahmed Mishu, her mother Lucky Akter, father Nasir Ahmed, elder brother Imran Hossain and a housemaid Rina Akter.
Earlier, on Tuesday Kazi Abdul Hasib Mohammad Syed, 45, Naogaon Additional District Judge was found dead at Mishu’s residence at Mollapara in the city.
Judge’s second wife Sanjida Ahmed Mishu and her mother Lucky Akhter took him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) in the afternoon claiming to doctors that Sayeed hanged himself.
Being informed, police arrested Mishu, Lucky, Imran and Rina in this connection.
SM Tanvir Arafat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP), said there were injury marks in the head of the deceased.
