A case was filed on Tuesday against five people for killing Sheikh Julmat Ali of Sreerampur village under Keshabpur upazila in Jessore on May 8 during the War of Liberation.
The victim’s son Abdul Karim filed the case with the court of Chief Juicial Magistrate Iffat Jahan on Tuesday, said Shahriar Babu, attorney of the complainant. The accused are, Jaker Ali and Azahar Ali of Sreerampur village, Akram Mollah of Bhalukghar village and Kashem Ali of Chalitabaria village under Keshabpur upazila.
In the case story, the complainant stated that Sheikh Julmat Ali of Sreerampur village was gunned down in front of his residence by Aminuddin Master, the then commander of Rajakar and his associates as he was in favour of the war of liberation on May 8 in 1971. Earlier, the Rajakars tortured Sheikh Julmat Ali at the Rajakar camp in Keshabpur after abducting him on May 4.
