The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has supplied five new thermal scanners to international airports and ports across the country.
The DGHS has supplied two thermal scanners for Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka, one for Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram, one for Osmani International Airport in Sylhet, and one for Benapole Land Port, said Dr Shahnila Ferdousi, the Line Director, Centre for Disease Control at DGHS.
The lone thermal scanner of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport became dysfunctional on Monday night.
It started working since Tuesday noon after repair work, said the Director.
