The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Thursday put five accused on a three-day remand each in a case over lynching of Taslima Begum Renu in the city over child-lifting rumour.
Magistrate Tofazzol Hossain of the CMM Court passed the order after Investigation Officer of the case and Inspector of Badda Police Station Abdur Razzak sought a seven-day remand for questioning them about the incident.
Police arrested Billal Hossain, 28, Asadul Islam, 22, Murad, 22, Sohel Rana, 30 and Razu Ahmed, 23, from different parts of the capital on Wednesday night.So far, 13 persons have been arrested in this connection.
A case was filed after Taslima Begum Renu was beaten to death on July 20 in North Badda area over child abduction rumour.
