5 more killed in road crashes

At least five persons including three motorcyclists were killed and several others seriously injured in separate road crashes across the country on Monday.
In Kishoreganj, a pedestrian named Mainuddin,35, was killed when a passenger bus rammed him at Sheramdhi area under Pakundia upazila of the district on Monday.
Mohammad Ilias, Officer in-Charge (OC) of Pakundia Police Station confirmed the matter to media.
In Jhenaidah, two persons including a woman were killed in separate road crashes in the district.
A woman was killed when a bus struck her after she had fallen from a motorcycle in front of the Cadet College of the district.
The deceased was identified as Sanjida, 34, wife of one Gias Uddin Babu in Dangipara village of Shailkupa.
In separate incident, another man named Dabir Uddin, 68, was killed when a truck rammed him in Katlagari area under Shailkupa upazila of the district on Sunday. Deceased Dabir Uddin was a resident of Berbaria village of the upazila.
Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman Khan confirmed the matter to media.
In Narail, a motorcyclist named Pappu Miah,16, was killed after losing control of the steering of his motorcycle at Gorerhat village under Sadar Upazila of the district.
Md. Jillur Rahman, Chairman of Maijpara Union told the news to the media.
In Dinajpur, a motorcyclist named Salimuddin,70, was killed when a truck hit him in Gogoratli under Chirirbandar upazila of the district.
Haresul Islam, Officer in-Charge of Chirirbandar Police Station confirmed the matter to the media.
