The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday arrested five graft suspects, including three government officials, from different parts of the country in separate graft cases.
ACC deputy assistant director of its Chittagong district office Md Wahiduzzaman arrested accountant of Ramu Upzila Abdus Sabur from Cox’ s Bazar in a graft case filed against him for allegedly misappropriating over Tk 3.27 crore of public money, told ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
ACC assistant director of Bogra office Aminul Islam detained district cooperative officer of Pabna Mohammad Shahinur Islam for allegedly plundering Tk 1.26 crore by preparing fake documents.
The ACC investigators held former officer of Sonali Bank Amzad Hossain from Bogra, Sirajul Islam Munshi of Bogra and Habil Uddin Mrida of Gazipur on graft charges. On Sunday, the ACC arrested six people in separate corruption cases filed against them by the national anti-graft body.
