5 more Bangladeshis return home from Yemen

Five more Bangladesh nationals, evacuated earlier from Sana’a, the capital of war-torn Yemen, arrived here on
Wednesday, raising the total number of returnees to 26.
The third batch of Bangladesh nationals arrived here at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka by a Jet Airways flight at 12:15pm, said a Foreign Ministry official.
Foreign Ministry assistant secretary Goutam Kumar Dey received them at the airport. The ministry provided them the air tickets.
Earlier, 21 Bangladesh nationals returned home from war-torn Yemen in two groups.
Meanwhile, a total of 337 Bangladeshi nationals who were stranded in Yemen are expected to reach Indian Sea Port Kochi, Kerala on Saturday morning, said another Foreign Ministry official here.
The ministry is making the arrangements for their onward journey from Kerala to Dhaka by special flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
They are now on their way to Kerala, India by ships for their eventual repatriation to Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh nationals were evacuated from the cities of Saana, Hodeida and Aden by Indian Naval Ships (INS).
They are now on board two Indian passenger ships that left African nation Djibouti on April 12.
