Chittagong Bureau :
Police rounded up five members of the robbery gang from Halishahar Chottapool area under Halishahar thana in city on late night of Monday.
The detained robbers are Mosharaf, Md. Hanif alias Monir, Jasimuddin, Md. Khokan and Md. Manik. Officer incharge of the Halishhasr thana Md. Shahjahan Kabir told that acting on secret information, police conducted raid in a house of the area and managed to apprehend them.
On first interrogation, the detained confessed their involvement in the robbery of Port connecting road occurred on March 15 last from where they took away cash taka of 65 thousand and valuable mobile sets.
