Following not withdrawal of a murder case from the concerned court as many as five members including a pregnant housewife of a family were injured in the hands of the opponents. Seriously injured 2 members named Tuhin Molla (28) and Zahurul Molla (35) of the family were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital for their better treatment. The incident zook place in the village Dona within Balaibunia Union under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat on Friday morning. In this connection a complaint was lodged with Morrelganj PS, according to a report received here.
It is allegedly that one year ago Limon Molla (10), a school going son of Enamul Molla, a businessman of the village Dona was brutally murdered after tying his hands and legs with something by a gang of miscreants and the body was thrown into a river.
In this connection a murder case was registered with the local PS mentioning the name of Emran Kazi as the main accused. As a result, Emran Kazi and others were arrested and sent to the jail hajat.
But after bailing out from the jail hajat the opponents threatened and created pressure on the plaintiff of the murder case to withdraw the case. On Friday morning a gang of miscreant led by Zahirul Kazi, father of the main accused raided the house of the plaintiff, attacked the family-members and inflicted cut injuries on the person of five family-members of plaintiff Enamul Molla including his wife and pregnant daughter-in-law with sharp knives. Later, the neighbouring people recovered them from there and admitted to Morrelganj Upazila Health Complex for their treatment. Considering the gravity of the injuries two (Tuhin Molla and Zahurul Molla) of them were advised to send them to Khulna Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
