Five people were killed and two others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Hylhet highway in Nabiganj upazila early Monday. The deceased include three men and two women. Further details could not be known immediately. Officials of Sherpur Highway Police said the accident took place as the Sylhet-bound private car collided head-on with a truck coming from opposite direction at Sadarghat Notunbazar in Nabiganj upazila around 5:30am, leaving five of the passengers dead on the spot and a woman and a child critically injured.
