5 killed in lightnings

At least five more persons including a HSC Examinee were killed and many others seriously injured in separate incidents across the country on Monday.
In Sunamganj, a farmer named Abdul Wahab,70, was killed after being hit by lightning at Kolaya village under the Sadar upazila while he was working in his field around 4:00pm on Monday.
Sahidullah, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station told the news to media.
In Barishal, a HSC Examinee named Rezaul Islam, 18, was killed when a lightning struck him at Kashipur under the Sadar upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.
The deceased Rezaul was the son of one Nur-Mohammad and a student of Charmonai Ahsanabad Kamil Madrasha.
Bodruzzaman Shahin , teacher of the Madrasa confirmed the news to media.
In Cox Bazar, a teenager girl named Rifat,13, was killed and his grand father was seriously injured when a thunderbolt hit them in
Pekua upazila of the district. Deceased Rifat was the daughter of Rohul Amin from Barbakiya.
Jakir Hossain, Officer in Charge of Pekua Police station confirmed the news to the media.
In Jamalpur, a farmer named Abbas Ali, 42, was killed when a thunderbolt hit him at Charpotiya under Islampur upazila of the district on Monday noon.
In Bhola, a youth named Md. Jasim was killed when a thunderbolt hit him at Charmadraj under the Charfashion upazila of the district. The deceased Jasim was the son of one Nur-Hossain from Jinnahgar village.
