At least five people were injured on Saturday as an oil laden tank lorry exploded at Kuliarchar upazila in the district.
Four of the injured were identified as Salman, 12, son of Ratan Mia, Hakim, 27, son of Alam Mia, Naim, 18, son of Khokon Mia and Shafik, 26, son of Khorshed Alam.
Three among the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
Witnesses said, a fuel oil laden tank lorry was sent
to a workshop due to technical glitch at Agarpur Bus stand area of the upazila where around 10 am the lorry exploded with wired sound injuring five on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge of Kuliarchar Police Station Abdul Hai Talukdar confirmed the matter.
