5 hurt in BCL factional clash

The rival groups of ruling party student’s wing Bangladesh Cheatra League (BCL) locked in fresh clashes at Chittagong College on Monday within 24 hours of previous clash.
Sources said the rival groups attacked each other at the Chittagong College campus in the morning. At that time, police rushed to the spot and came under attack by agitated outsider activists of BCL. Police charged baton on them. 5 activists of BCL were injured in the clashes.
Officer in-charge of Chawk Bazar Thana Nurul Huda said the clashes started following incident of previous clashes on the campus. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
It may be mentioned that BCL occupied the Chittagong College and Hazi Muhammad Mohsin College by evicting Islami Chhatra Shibir. It is reported that most of the occupiers of BCL are outsiders and they lock in clashes regularly hampering the educational environment of the two colleges.
