Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested five people along with fake currency notes amounting to Tk1.83 lakh in the city on Sunday night.
The arrestees were identified as Enamul Haque,35, Razzak Ali,32, Jamal,30, Sattar,32, and Sabuj,30.
Nur Hossain, inspector of City Detective Branch police, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive at a house in Chhotobangram Uttarpara at about 11:30pm and arrested the five.
