A team of the Detective Branch (DB) of Police in a drive arrested five people with fire- arms and bullets from city’s Wari area on Sunday night.
The arrested men are Rezaul Karim, 28, Abdullah Al Mamun, 30, Anwar Hossain, 32, Wali Mia, 28, and Palash Mia, 22, said Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner
(Media and Public Relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
They also seized a pistol, two rounds of bullets and two machetes, the Police official said.
The arrested men were being interrogated in different crimes in the city, the DC said.
A case was filed with the Wari Police Station on Monday, he said.
