Mohsin murder: 5 held, main accused still at large

Police arrested five suspects of a teen gang group on charge of killing a teenager School boy named Mohsin, in the city’s Mohammadpur area on Wednesday night, but main accused Parvez is still at large.
Among the arrestees, three are identified as Rocky, Asif and Imran.
Quoting the locals, police said that Mohsin and Parvez had previous enmity and centering it on Wednesday Parvez and his gang members disturbed and teased Mohsin’s girl friend when they visited city’s Dhaka Udyan area.
At this, some youths started to stab Mohsin with knife randomly when Mohsin and his three friends Sabbir, 17, Rakib, 17 and Rubel, 23 were chatting near a culvert on the Pioneer Lane of Satmasjid Housing in Mohmmadpur that night. Sabbir, Rakib and Rubel were also stabbed when they tried to save Mohsin.
It is noted that main accused Parvez was member of a teen gang group named Atonko while deceased Mohsin was also a member of another gang group named Film Jir Jir.
On this issue, while talking with Wahedul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police said that most of the teenagers who were involved with the murder were irregular in attending classes and most of them were the inhabitants of ghetto area of Dhaka Udyan.
A case was filed by the victims elder Brother Yusuf Ali over the incident with Mohammadpur Police, Station at night.
Investigation Officer of Mohammadpur PS confirmed the news to the media that murder occurred due to internal conflict between the local teen gangs.
“Five suspects have been detained. They are being interrogated,” he said.
Earlier a School boy Mohsin, 16, a student of Child Heaven International School, was killed due to conflict among teen gang groups in city’s Mohammadpur area.
