Five persons, who allegedly committed various crimes identifying themselves as the members of Detective Branch (DB) of Police, were arrested from different places of the city on Saturday night.
Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said that Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) of Counter Terrorism unit arrested five persons.
A pistol and a revolver were also recovered from their possession, the police official said.
The arrested persons were being interrogated, the DC said, adding two cases were filed in this connection.
