Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) claimed to have detained five persons from different parts of capital and outskirts on charge of committing fraud using the names of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her family members and some national leaders.
They are Omar Farooque,30, Sabbir Hossain, 24, Al Amin, 27, Aminul Islam,25, and Monir Hossain, 29.
 “A team of RAB-2 nabbed the five persons on different charges,
including committing fraud through opening fake Facebook accounts in the name of the Prime Minister, her family members and a number of national leaders,” said Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Director Legal and Media wing of the elite force.
“The accused are cyber criminals. They used to collect money through fraudulence, the RAB official said.
They were shown arrested in a case under Digital Security Act, he added.
