Five dacoits were arrested from Uttar Uttarsur village in Srimangal Upazilla on Tuesday. Sources said a team of Srimangal police on receiving a secret information led by Officer-In charge Md. Mahbubur Rahman raided the said area and arrested those dacoits while attempting to commit a dacoity. The arrested dacoits were identified as Md. Alamin (34) of Shaplabag railway colony in srimangal, Md. Rupiyan (24) of Joypur area in Hajiganj under Chandpur District.
Md. Ibrahim Miah (50) , Isaque Miah (40) and Md. Jahangir Miah(39) of Kamalganj Upazilla in Moulvibazar District.
Police also seized country- made weapons from their possession.
A case was lodged in this regard.
