Five police detectives in Chittagong have been suspended for conducting an authorised operation while not in official vests.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch Deputy Commissioner Kusum Dewan gave the order on Thursday.
The men raided an office near Chittagong Medical College several days ago, CMP Additional Commissioner SM Tanvir Arafat told bdnews24.com. They did not have permission from superiors to conduct the operation and were not wearing their vests, according to an inquiry by the Detective Branch.
