At least five constable were closed to Kishoreganj Police Lines after handcuffed accused fled from the court premises in the district on Sunday noon.
Constables Nazimuddin, Foysal Miah, Momtaj Uddin, Shajahan and Joynal were taking the suspected drug dealer to a courtroom where he escaped.
Drug Dealer Morshed Miah (28) of Manikdi area in Bhairab was arrested with 15 yaba tablets on Saturday night, said Bhairab Police Station OC Md Muklesur Rahman.
Before entering the courtroom on the 1st floor of the building, the handcuffed suspect started running and fled around 3.40 pm said, the SP Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar).
A case was filed in this connection with Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station .
