A case was filed against six people including five police personnel with a Senior Judicial Magistrate Court of Jessore on Tuesday in connection with killing a man on October 9.
Sheuli Begum, widow of slain Enamul of Isali village in Jessore Sadar upazila, filed the case with the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Abu Ibrahim against sub-inspectors Tapan and Rasel, constables Ibrahim and Shahid of Isali police camp, SI Masud of Khajura police camp and police source Arun.
Senior Judicial Magistrate took the case into cognizance and ordered Jessore Police Bureau Investigation to submit a probe report of the incident to his court.
According to the case statement, in the early hours of October 9, police from Isali and Khajura police camps conducted raids on several houses of Isali and Mathurapur village and arrested some villagers, including Enamul.
Later, family members of Enamul searched him in several police stations and police camps but failed to find him out.
