5 bodies found in 3 months in Jhenaidah

The people of Jhenaidah, specially, Kaliganj Upazila were panicked when the bodies of young men found in the fields. Most of them are killed with gunshots. In past three months, the bodies of five young men were found after they were missing. The families of the missing people blamed the law enforcers in plain cloths.
A saloon worker Nur Islam on March 24 in a press conference at Jhenaidah Press Club said, the plain cloth police on March 18 picked up his son Abujar Gifari, 22, from the village when he was returning after Jumma prayer at a local mosque. Abujar was the president of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) of Kaliganj upazila unit. He was studying in MM College in Jessore.
On March 22 another ICS activist Shamimul Islam was picked up by a gang of plain cloth police from the gate of Mahtab Uddin Degree College in Kaliganj town in the afternoon. The abductors took him on an easy bike. He was studying in second year student of Jhenaidah Government Keshab Chandra Degree College. Shamim was the son of Ruhul Amin of Bakulia village in Kaliganj upazila.
Later, bullet hit bodies of the two students were found at a funeral place (Swashanghat) at Birmapur of Jessore Kotwalli police station on April 14. Pannu Mia, a nephew of Abujar and Taznim Hossain, the brother of Shamim have identified them at the funeral place.
