5 BD cattle traders held by Indian police

UNB, Jhenidah :Indian police early Tuesday detained five Bangladeshi cattle traders along with wire cutting tools from Ramnagar village under Hashokhali Police Station in India.The arrestees-Babul, Chhatu, Sultan, Tuhin and Kamal-hail from Mailbaria and Khoshalpur village of the upazila. Commanding Officer Ltd. Col. SM Moniruzzaman of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-6 said a patrol team of Hashokhali police station arrested the five Bangladeshis when they entered illegally Ramnagar village opposite Khoshalpur border of Moheshpur upazila early in the morning. The police team also recovered some wire cutting tools from their possession, said SM Moniruzzaman.A flag meeting between Indian Border Security Force (BSF) and BGB was held around 11:00am in the border area, where BSF said as police arrested the Bangladeshis, it did not take any steps.
