Authorities abandoned the recruitment tests for five state-owned banks held on November 6, after allegations of questions papers of the exams being leaked and irregularities.
Recruitment tests for five banks under the Bangladesh Bankers’ Selection Committee – Sonali, Janata, Agrani, Rupali and Bangladesh Development banks – for the 1,511 posts of officer (cash) have been cancelled due to unavoidable reasons, said a statement issued on Thursday.
According to the statement, the next date of the hour-long 100-mark test will be published on Bangladesh Bank website and national dailies.
Prior to this, allegations of irregularities in the selection process for multiple posts were brought against the Bangladesh Bankers Selection Committee.
On November 7, the examinees sent a memorandum to Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir demanding the cancellation of the exams, alleging that question papers were leaked before.
Authorities also suspended the recruitment tests for three banks scheduled to be held on November 13 and 20.
