5 arrested on charge of forcing a school girl to prostitution

A school girl of Mongla Port town (in Bagerhat district) who was forced to work as a prostitute in the different places for long 6 months after she had been captive in the hands of her some relatives registered a case with Mongla PS on Tuesday mentioning the names of 7 persons including her 2 relatives, according to a report received here. Mongla police already arrested 5 out of 7 accused persons on the charges mentioned above.
Tuhin Mondol, Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Mongla PS told the newsmen, the victim girl is the daughter of a poor man of Mongla Port town and a student of class-IX of a High School situated near the Signal Tower of the Port. Six months ago she was taken by her relatives Shewli Begum and Sharmin Begum to Rayenda, Upazila headquarters of Sharankhola in the district for doing household work. But they made her captive there for long six months and forced her to work as a prostitute in the different places and houses under threat, temptation and allurements.
Very often she was forced to take seductive medicines in order to meet up the sexual desires of the debauched men. Being informed of the matter both father and mother of the girl went there and brought back their daughter to Mongla on Monday.
The victim daughter disclosed every thing to her parents.
