Members of Rapid Action Battalion have detained five active members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) in separate drives conducted at Ashulia in Savar and Dhamrai, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
The detained men were identified as Oliul Islam alias Samrat alias Abdullah, 23, Sabuj Hossain alias Ebajuddin , 20, Ariful Haq alias Hridoy, 26, Rashida alias Humayra, 33.
RAB-4 Commanding Officer (CO) and Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, told the reporters at RAB Media Center on Saturday afternoon.
A case has been filed with the Ashulia Police Station in this connection, the CO said.
