Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized around 5.8 lakh Yaba tablets and detained four people in Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban districts on Friday, just one day ahead of Yaba trader’s surrender in the district.
BGB battalions 11 and 2 in separate drives recovered 4.6 lakh Yaba pills in Naikkhonchhari upazila of Bandarban in the early hours.
The paramilitary force also recovered around 20,000 pills from Hrila Kharangkhali of Teknaf upazila here.
Besides, Rab members recovered 1 lakh Yaba tablets from a fishing boat at Cox’s Bazar channel of the Bay of Bengal around 12 noon.
