Members of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 5.8 kilograms of gunpowder from Shampur in Shibganj upazila on Saturday noon. Acting on a tipped-off, a patrol team of BGB-53 battalion from Wahedpur border outpost raided Shampur field area and chased a youth around 2 pm, said BGB-53 Commander Sazzad Sarwar, PSC.Later, the team recovered a bag full of gunpowder, he added.
The recovered gun powder was handed over to Shibganj Police Station.
