The fourth phase of the fifth upazila Parishad election will be held today in 19 districts.
The EC announced on February 20, the schedule for voting in 122 upazilas in the fourth phase, but balloting will be held in 107 upazilas on Sunday.
The polling will take place from 8 am to 4 pm without any break.
On the other hand, the Election Commission has ordered another three MPs of the ruling Awami League to leave their constituencies as they transgressed the election code of conduct.
In letters dispatched on Saturday, Anwarul Abedin Khan of Mymensingh-9, Mohammed Ekramul Karim Chowdhury of Noakhali-4 and Ranajit Kumar Roy of Jashore-4 were asked to leave constituencies.
Since the campaigns for the Upazila polls began, as many as 20 MPs, mostly from the Awami League, have been ordered to leave election areas in their constituencies.
The Commission had also written to the Speaker regarding the issue.
The EC has imposed a ban on plying of motorcycles, motorised vehicles and all modes of transportation in rivers.
Restrictions on motorbikes will come into effect two days ahead of the polling day and will be enforced on the waterway transportations on the Election Day. Besides, the EC has also banned the display and carrying of licensed arms seven days ahead of the elections.
The restrictions will be applicable to motorised three-wheelers. The ban imposed on the movement of motorcycles will be relaxed in case of inter-district roads, highways and connecting roads.
Again, the vehicles of all officials performing election duty and law enforcement agencies, ambulances, Fire Service and Civil Defence and electricity, gas and telecom services will be kept out of the purview of the restrictions.
