The 4th South Bangla Agriculture & Commerce Bank National Youth (Under-18) Table Tennis Championship starts tomorrow at the Shaheed Tajuddin Wooden Floor Gymnasium.
Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation will arrange the four-day long table tennis competition under auspices of South Bangla Agriculture & Commerce Bank Limited.
Regarding this matter, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday. Vice-President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) Jahangir Alam, Vice-President of BTTF Saidul Haque Saadi, General Secretary of BTTF Khondker Hasan Munir, AVP of South Bangla Bank Agriculture Bank Limited Md Islamul Haque, Convener of the Tournament Committee ANM Aminul Islam Mamun, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Anwar Kabir Chowdhury and Secretary of the Media Committee Ahsan Ahmed Amit were present at the conference.
A total of 135 boys and 45 girls will compete in the championship.
The events of the tournament are: Boys’ singles, boys’ doubles, girls’ singles, girls’ doubles, boys’ team event and girls’ team event.
Tomorrow Minister for Finance Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will formally open the meet at 5.00 pm as the chief guest.
President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation and Senior Secretary of Finance Ministry Hedayetullah Al Mamun will presided over the inaugural ceremony.
