The South Bangla Agriculture & Commerce Bank 4th National Junior Table Tennis Championship began at the Shaheed Tajuddin Wooden Floor Gymnasium on Thursday.
Secretary of Youth and Sports of Bangladesh Awami League Harunur Rashid inaugurated the table tennis competition as the chief guest. President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation and Senior Finance Secretary Hedayetullah Al Mamun presided over the opening ceremony. Vice-President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) Sheikh Md Jahangir Alam, General Secretary of BTTF Khondker Hasan Munir were present at the time.
In the boys’ team event, Magura District team defeated Habiganj District team by 3-0 sets, Rangamati District team beat Lalmonirhat District team by 3-0 sets, Satkhira District team defeated Moulvibazar District team by 3-0 sets, Rangpur District team overcame Panchagarh District team by 3-0 sets, Gaibandha District team beat Khulna District team by 3-1 sets, Khulna District team defeated Dinajpur District team by 3-0 sets, Jessore District team beat Barguna District team by 3-0 sets, Rangpur District team defeated Shariatpur District team by 3-0 sets, Pabna District team beat Chandpur District team by 3-0 sets and Bagerhat District team beat Thakurgaon District team by 3-0 sets.
In the girls’ team event, Bangladesh Army defeated Bagerhat District team by 3-0 sets, Gaibandha District team beat Habiganj District team by 3-0 sets, Jamalpur District team overcame Rangpur District team by 3-0 sets, Narail District team defeated Lalmonirhat District team by 3-0 sets, Rajshahi District team edged past Magura District team by 3-1 sets, Pabna District team beat Thakurgaon District team by 3-1 sets, Jessore District team defeated Rangpur Division team by 3-0 sets and Bangladesh Ansar beat Moulvibazar District team by 3-0 sets..
