Traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday filed 4983 cases and realised Taka 7.22 lakh from the violators of traffic rules.
Fifty vehicles have been dumped and 573 others took under police custody, an official release of DMP said.
The actions have been taken on charges of violation of traffic rules such as using hydraulic horn, broken light, black glass and driving towards opposite roads.
