A total of 49,716 Hajj pilgrims have returned home by 133 Hajj flights – 68 Saudi Arabian Airlines and 65 Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
The return flights will continue till September 26, Hajj office sources said here on Sunday.
In this regard, Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate 172 return hajj flights till September 25, the sources added.
According to the office, this year a total of 1,27,298 people, including members of hajj management, went to Saudi Arabia through 371 Hajj flights to perform the holy Hajj.
This year, 114 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims, including 21 women, died in Saudi Arabia. Among them, 75 died in Makkah, nine in Madina, two in Jeddah, 18 in Mina and 10 in Arafat, said Makkah Hajj Office.
A total of 23,71,675 pilgrims from across the world performed the holy Hajj this year.
