A total of 489 schemes were implemented under the 2nd phase test relief programme of the government in four upazilas and four pourashavas of the district by the last week of June at the cost of taka 2, 35, 90, 000.
The schemes were taken for implementation in the month of April last.
The four upazilas of the district are Chuadanga Sadar, Alamdanga, Damurhuda and Jibannagar and the four pourashavas are Chuadanga, Alamdanga, Darsana and Jibannagar.
The ministry of relief and disaster management implemented the schemes.
Chuadanga district relief and disaster management office source said, of the total schemes 93 schemes were implemented in Chuadanga Sadar upazila, 139 schemes in Alamdanga upazila, 101 schemes in Damurhuda upazila, 98 schemes in Jibannagar upazila, 28 schemes in Chuadanga pourashava, 8 schemes in Alamdanga pourashava, 11 schemes in Darsana pourashava and 11 schemes in Jibannagar pourashava. The implemented schemes include repair and maintenance of roads.
It may be mentioned here that in the 1st phase of test relief programme a total of 368 schemes were implemented in four upazilas of the district against 691 metric tons of rice.
The schemes were taken for implementation in the month of January and were completed in the month of March.
