Police in special drives arrested 48 people including nine drug peddlers and recovered huge drugs- phensidyl, yaba and ganja from ten upazilas of the district during the last 15 hours.
Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested 13 people with 350 bottles of Phensidyl, Chirirbandar police three, Phulbari police three, Khansama five, Birganj six, Hakimpur nine, Nawabganj four, Parbatipur three and Birampur police arrested two persons. Ghoraghat police recovered 350 grams of ganja from the upazila. Hakimpur police recovered 309 pieces Yaba tablets.
