47 more die of Covid-19 in country

Bangladesh has registered 47 more Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the number of total fatalities to 4,174.
The country also logged more than 306,000 coronavirus cases with 2,211 people testing positive over the same period.
With this development, the number of all confirmed cases has so far jumped to 306,794.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the latest figures on Covid-19 in the country with a press release on Friday.
Health authorities also reported 3,378 more recoveries in a day, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,96,836.
In the last 24 hours, 91 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country collected 13,977 samples and tested 13,741 samples.
With this, a total of 15,14,126 samples were tested in the country.
Among the newly deceased, 32 were men and the rest 15 women. Of them, 29 in Dhaka, three in Chattogram, two in Rajshahi, seven in Khulna, one in Barisal, one in Sylhet, and

 four in Rangpur divisions.
As of Friday, a total of 3,274 men and 900 women died of of the deadly virus in the country.
Of them, are from Dhaka, three from Chittagong, two from Khulna, six from Rajshahi, two from Sylhet, two from Rangpur and three from Barisal division respectively.
The infection rate is 16.09 per cent in the last 24 hours, compared to the samples tested.
So far, the infection rate is 20.26 percent, the recovery rate is 64.16 per cent and the mortality rate is 1.36 per cent.
Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
