Dengue patients increasing: 46 patients admitted to hospitals in Chandpur , Sylhet

The number of dengue patients is increasing in Sylhet.. According to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital (SOMCH), eight dengue patients were identified at CMC from July 18-19. Since then the number has been increasing on a regular basis.
However on Thursday, 14 new patients were admitted at the hospital. Besides, 16 people have been released. As a result, a total of 45 patients are currently under treatment in Osmani Hospital.
Deputy Director, Debobroto Ray said every day new dengue patients are being admitted. 90% of them are suffering from outside.
He said patients were discharged with treatment within ten days. In addition, if anyone is clinically tested, we are monitoring them at bed rest.
On the other hand, Civil Surgeon DR. Himanshu Lal Ray said 14 new dengue patients have been identified at Osmani hospitals in Sylhet on Wednesday.

Statistics of the hospital shows thata total of 32 patients including four children have been admitted till 3 pm on Wednesday during the last twenty four hours time. Of them 7 are children, 23 are males and the rest are female patients.
 In addition to this, a total of more 69 patients with dengue fever are already undergoing treatment at this hospital
Hospital’s Residential Medical Officer doctor Mahmudun Nabi Masum and on duty senior staff nurses Viva Majumder and brother Sabuj Hossain told the New Nation that the dengue patients are treated properly and hence none has died so far at this hospital.
 Memtionable, two dengue patients of Chandpur died in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Of them, a small girl patient died early on Tuesday at ICU at Dhanmondi Kidney Hospital, Dhaka.
The deceased girl was identified as Modina Akter,7, a student of KG class, and daughter of Mizanur Rahman Dhali of Jhenaiya village under Matlab Uttar Upazila. She was attacked with dengue fever at home after a mosquito bit her. Then she was referred to Chandpur General Hospital on 3 August from Matlab Uttar Health Complex and then she was removed to DMCH where there was no space in the ICU. Finally she was removed to the ICU at Dhanmondi Kidney Hospital.
An elderly dengue patient Monowara Begum,72, also died of dengue fever at DMCH on Tuesday. Wife of Abdul Hye , the deceased woman hailed from Ahmedpur village under Gondhorvopur Uttar union in Hajiganj. With this the number of dengue patient of Chandpur died in Dhaka stands at 4.
Earlier, on 3rd August, one woman Lovely Begum,40, wife of Abul Bashar and a female UP member of Khadergaon UP in Matlab Dakhshin Upazila also died of dengue fever early 3 August in Dhaka. Yet another dengue patient, a student of Shahtoli Kamil Madrasa and a resident of Shahtoli village under Sadar Upazila also died of dengue in a private clinic in Dhaka on 21 July..
