Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Detective Branch (DB) arrested at least 46 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during the ongoing anti-narcotics drives in the capital in last 24 hours from Thursday morning to Friday morning.

Thursday. During the drives, the law enforcers recovered 741 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets, 507.5 grams of heroin, 1.5 kg of hemp, 15 bottles of phensidyl and 24 cans of beer from their possessions, said DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman.
A total of 32 cases were filed with different police stations under Narcotics Control Act, DC added.
