Chittagong District Police in overnight special drives arrested 46 people including two Jamaat activists from different upazilas of the district on Thursday night.
Abdul Awal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of
Chittagong district, said police detained two Jamaat activists from
Chittagong University area for their alleged involvement in sabotage acts and vandalism.
Rest of the detained, including 42 warranted, 4 accused in regular cases, he said, adding that 20 litres of country-made liquors, 400 pieces yaba and 20 grams ganja were also recovered during the drives.
