46 BNP-Jamaat men sued for torching BRTC bus in Barguna

A total of 46 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, including president of Barguna district unit of BNP Mahbubul Alam Farooq Mollah, have been sued for allegedly setting fire to a BRTC bus in the town on Saturday.
Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, sub-inspector of Barguna thana, filed a case against them under the Special Powers Act on Sunday.
The police have so far arrested eight accused in the case, including bus driver Mohammad Aktharuzzaman and its contractor SM Quyyum.
A group of miscreants set fire to the BRTC bus parked in front of the Sonia Cinema Hall on Sadar Road of the town in the early morning of Saturday. The bus used to ply Barguna-Khulna route.
