Implementation rate of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the first nine months (July-March) of fiscal year 2016-17 was 45 percent with an expenditure of Tk. 53,864 crore.
The implementation rate for FY17 was 1.0 percent higher from 44 percent of the same period of the last fiscal FY16, said planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal while briefing journalists after ECNEC meeting on Tuesday.
He said Tk. 41, 975 crore were spent during the same period of the last fiscal FY16.
The minister said ADP implementation speeds up in the last part of a fiscal year as it is difficult to implement the ADP in July, August and September due to monsoon.
The planning ministry has taken up different reform programs to speed up implementation of ADP.
